Review of the boat year 2020

The 2020 boating season is behind us and the year is coming to an end. It’s time to look back on a year we will all remember for a long time.

We also show you what our customers wrote about us and our boats in this year’s experience reports.

January: Boot in Düsseldorf
The year started quite normally with the opening in Düsseldorf. There is already talk of a new virus in the media, but at that point we all have no idea how these first reports from far Asia will develop.

As usual, visitors are flocking to the exhibition halls and our new staircase on the SRX30 -YACHTLINE- is very popular – providing a curious first look inside the largest trailerable boat (see Boot Düsseldorf 2020 review).

The instruction for the new boat was excellent and despite many years of experience with water sports, you are still learning.

May: first easing of restrictions

Some restrictions are gradually being lifted and the collection of new boats is in full swing. Happy handovers to new Yachtline owners are happening almost every day.

There is also a noticeable increase in interest in trailer boats in general. Who is surprised? Many owners have realized that their own boats without trailers are temporarily inaccessible and unusable due to restrictions. On the other hand, owners of boats with trailers had a clear advantage (see the article Holidays by boat during Corona).

In addition, we are introducing our new aluminum trailer x30v for the SRX100 -YACHTLINE-, which in contrast to the steel trailer saves around 3500 kg in weight – a real luxury in the boat class (see article New: SRX30 YACHTLINE 3500kg x35v with aluminum trailer).

Even after the purchase is completed, the staff is always there for you – both for special requests regarding the boat and for any information. This is by no means a matter of course! Service rating: very good !!!

June to August: late boating season

The 2020 boating season is finally starting, albeit not as carefree as in previous years. In many cases, planned trips have to be rescheduled, but this is precisely the previously mentioned advantage of a trailered boat: flexibility.

And many of our customers are discovering completely new waterways and coastal areas that they would not have considered under normal circumstances.

In the meantime, we are continuing our work and in July we are introducing a further development of the popular 20 -YACHTLINE- model: SX20 -YACHTLINE- (upgrade to SX20 -YACHTLINE- for brochure)

In August Öchsner-Boats goes on its annual company vacation. The past weeks and months have been grueling, but the company has weathered the crisis more lightly than initially feared.

… we tried it at “full speed” of course, without any speed limit. We were all surprised that our little “CARA” was in no way outdone by the more powerful boat of our friends.

The workmanship and quality are very good and the driving characteristics convinced us.

September: Interboot without Öchsner boats

Those responsible for major events put a lot of thought and developed concepts so that the first trade fairs since the lockdown could take place. Due to our lack of experience with trade fairs during the Corona period, Öchsner-Boats has decided not to participate in the Interboot in Friedrichshafen (see article Interboot 2020 without Öchsner-Boats).

In order to offer our customers the possibility to still receive comprehensive advice, we are launching an online consulting service regardless of location. Interested parties can virtually view the boats via a video conference and put together their dream – YACHTLINE – without any obligation (see article YACHTLINE online consulting – the trade fair alternative).

The boat fits us perfectly. Everything is well thought out and designed with great attention to detail
