No vacation has ever been better than the last

My family and I go on vacation every year. Once after Pentecost and once in August. I still believe that no vacation is better than the previous one.

It all started when we went to the “Interboot” trade fair on Lake Constance – just to “look” of course. At that time we had a smaller boat, but then we discovered the company “Öchsner” at the Interboot fair and immediately fell in love with the model “Yachtline 6 Yachtline 240 with Volvo Penta V6 240 DP”. And just like when you go somewhere just to “look”, we bought it.

The handover went very smoothly. Mr. Öchsner took the whole day to explain everything to us in detail.

Back to a magical place in Croatia

After a short additional test drive on the main Danube Canal, we drove to Croatia with a brand new boat in tow. To be more precise, we took a boat to Sibenik, a really picturesque city with incredible buildings, to a ‘lonely’ island.

We had discovered this magical little spot last year. At that time we wandered around a bit with our other boat to explore the landscape and the islands and then we found – hidden in the middle of the ocean – a small harbor. We asked around a bit and then rented an apartment overlooking the lake.

So we were really looking forward to this vacation. But first of all of course because of the new boat.

Adventure in and on the water

The water was crystal clear – you could see every single fish swimming! We often went snorkeling on the shore and tried to fish – often unsuccessfully of course

The good thing about this small island is that it is surrounded by many other small and medium-sized islands, so there was plenty to explore. It was a lot of fun exploring the landscapes and also crossing the land. Once we were on the boat and my little sister saw a cave on a remote island. Of course we immediately went there and it turned out that the cave was not a real cave, but a great shelter for wartime submarines! Maybe that was exciting! Unfortunately we couldn’t take a photo of it because it was too dark.

We came to many different corners of Croatia, saw beautiful bays, crystal clear water and also real wrecks! We tied our boat to a buoy and started diving right above the wreck!

Personally I was not that comfortable and always stayed close to our boat but my family was almost completely lost in the wreck. It was really adventurous!

The ride itself was also a lot of fun as the boat really had power and could accelerate properly. At the same time, mom is very stable in the water, although she is still afraid that we might fall off the boat because of dad’s sometimes daring maneuvers.

The best experience of the whole vacation was when we saw dolphins! Not one, not two, but a whole school of dolphins roaming in the water next to us and playing in the rough waves of the boat. We had never seen dolphins in the wild, so it was a great experience to see them up close! They followed us for a while and it was really nice to see these beautiful animals playing alongside us.
Conclusion about 23-YACHTLINE-

In summary, I can say that it was one of the best vacations we have had in a long time. Our decision to buy Yachtline 23 from Öchsner-Boote was a good one. The service of the whole team continues even after the purchase, which is great! The staff always listen openly to any questions that may arise.

The road to SR25 -YACHTLINE-

We came across Öchsner Boote’s SR25 Yachtline in the 10/2018 issue of “Boats” magazine. Until now, we only had a smaller day cruiser of American/Polish production with a small cabin.

We found the spacious cabin with additional underfloor cabin and small “bathroom” combined with a low overall weight of only about 2,500 kg including trailer particularly exciting. So we went to Kürnach to inspect the boat during the autumn holidays. The first impression from the report was more than confirmed on site and we ordered the SR25 in October.

On April 13, 2019 we were finally able to pick up the boat. After an extensive theoretical instruction with many tips by Mr. Küffner from Öchsner-Boats, we then went to Ana to receive a practical instruction on the water with Mr. Öchsner.

Both the employees and the boss of the house took all the necessary time and answered absolutely every question competently and sincerely!

SR25-YACHTINE to Berlin and Potsdam

A week later we drove with a mobile home and SR25 in the direction of Caputh / Potsdam to a nice campsite with its own small marina. The trip there was also uneventful.

A few days followed in the gorgeous Easter weather on the water around Potsdam. The SR25 is great to drive. There is enough space on board for 2 adults, 2 teenagers and a dog. New for us was the “luxury” of a bow thruster which made anchoring extremely easy.

A few days later we started a 3-day tour around Berlin. The Teltow Canal from Caputh via Potsdam is about 40 km from the port of Tempelhof. Unfortunately, you were usually not allowed to go faster than 12 km/h. But once you get used to it, it is quite relaxing. Thanks to the bow thruster, it was easy to master the lock to pass through.

We spent the first two nights on our new boat in Tempelhof harbor.

My wife and I (and the dog) made ourselves comfortable in the cabin, the space is really great. Our teenagers slept wonderfully under the camping canopy over the sun lounger, which they stretched out with the help of cushions from the retractable cabin.

After a day of shopping and sightseeing, relatively early on the second morning we went eastward on the Spree to the Mühlendammschleuse, as we had to cross it without a radio on board until 10:00 a.m. Until then you can see impressive buildings along the river, after the lock you are “in the middle” of Berlin and take your boat through the Reichstag building and the Chancellery. It’s really a completely different perspective from the water.

After the Charlottenburg lock, we continued south on Untere Havelwasserstraße via Unterspree in the direction of Potsdam / Caputh. Here, a short detour along the great Wannsee and the Griebnitz Canal is recommended. Here there are impressive waterfront estates with admirable “smaller” single-family houses.

In between there were occasional questions about the technology on board, which we could not clarify directly with the help of the extensive information material about the boat. Öchsner’s good service was also evident here. Questions by phone or e-mail were answered competently, friendly and helpful.

Back in Caputh, we spent 2 more days on the water with our new SR25 Yachtline and enjoyed it very much.

Conclusion about SR25 -YACHTLINE-

The boat is really well thought out in many details, the workmanship and quality is very high. Of course it’s fun to move the lever! But you should warn the crew in advance, there is a tremendous thrust!

Thanks again to the Öchsner team at this point. We are already looking forward to the summer in Croatia.

During our boating vacations (with charter boats) in Mecklenburg West Pomerania, the desire for your own boat increased year by year.

We learned about Öchsner-Boote during our visits to the Interboot boat show and quickly realized that we would find “our” boat here! With the help of Mr. Küffner, who was at our side with his many years of experience, we were convinced about the 23 YACHTLINE.

In April 2019 we received our new boat “Elea” from Öchsner-Boote in Kürnach. After an interesting and informative briefing trip on the Main, we returned home with our team and launched our boat in the main harbor in Wiesbaden on the Rhine.

We spent many beautiful hours on the Rhine.

We have repeatedly found that we get good advice from the Öchsner-Boote company. The boat fits us perfectly. Everything is well thought out and designed with great attention to detail. We have repeatedly asked our other boating colleagues questions about our “Elea”.

The first big trip was on Lake Constance. There the official acceptance for the Lake Constance approval took place – it went smoothly! We spent wonderful days here and slept wonderfully on board.

We spent our first vacation as a boat owner in IJsselmeer in the Netherlands. With our boat we mastered the locks and many suspension bridges without any problems. With 23 Yachtline our choice was confirmed again. Everything worked perfectly and it was a lot of fun.

We are looking forward to spring to wake up our “Elea” from hibernation … The next vacations are already planned. We were delighted!

At this point, we would like to thank the entire Öchsner team once again for the good advice and great support.

23 Yachtline

In the summer of 2016 we were on vacation with our Bayliner on the beautiful island of Rab in Croatia. It was there that we first heard about Öchsner-boote GmbH & Co. KG. In September 2016, we visited the Öchsner-Boote booth at Interboot and took a closer look at the 23 Yachtline. After a short evaluation, we decided on this model from the Yachtline series on Lake Constance.

The waiting time began until we finally took delivery of our new boat.
On May 12, 2017, the time had finally come and we welcomed our new baby into the world 🙂 After a super friendly briefing by Mr. Küffner, we moved on to the practical part with Mr. Öchsner. In the best weather conditions, we started our training trip for our boat, which we named “LIVE”. Mr. Florian Öchsner was by our side with words and deeds and explained everything to us perfectly.

It was time to move away from the boats, things were being packed and moved to Croatia.
A day later we drove to Malinska-Dubašnica, the starting point of our 2 1/2 week round trip to the island of Krk and our life on board.

Travel route: Malinska-Dubašnica -> Krk -> Rab -> Novalja -> Novalja -> Zadar -> Murter -> Sibenik -> Skradin -> Murter -> Kornati -> Sali -> Premuda -> Mali Lośinj -> Cres -> Malinska- Dubašnica

We had all weather conditions, from mirrorless lake to heavy rain and bora, but our “LIVE” mastered every wave with ease. Most importantly because of the unique WIDE-BEAM hull which provides a lot of lateral stability and smoothness. In September 2017 we started our second annual vacation and went back to Croatia to the island of Rab, This time we had planned only a few day trips and short excursions, we visited Mali Lośinj, Cres, Krk, Novalij etc. Countless hours of sunshine in our comfortable Sunbathing area.

SR25 Yachtline

When we brought our 23 YACHTLINE to customer service in October 25, we took this opportunity to take a closer look at the brand new SR23 Yachtline. We really liked the technology, the better comfort, the many small details, the glass cockpit, the “mandatory meter more”, the great swim platform or the super hood and of course the 40HP more power. And finally we swapped boats ;).

The anticipation increased …
On May 5, 2018 the time came and we were able to take delivery of the new SR25 -Yachtline- in the best weather and sunshine. After a casual chat we went for a test drive on Main – 1000 more people thanks to the whole team!

Four days later we set off for Bella Italia, Marina Punta Gabbiani. The boat can be transported without any problems with the SR25 trailer. During our 2 1/2 week vacation we made many trips with the new “VIVIAN”, for example Trieste – Venice – Grado – Precenicco – Muggia – Piran or Umag. Thanks to the numerous stowage options, a comfortable life on board with two people was no problem. Above all, the padded lying area in the bow can be used for countless hours of sunshine. The large bathing platform with integrated water seat provided for cooling. But the practical awning also provides shade when the temperature is too hot. This wonderful vacation with our new boat also ended at some point.

We are now looking forward to sailing again. Many thanks to the entire Öchsner team for the excellent advice and support.

Many greetings P. & DE

Adventure vacation

On 08/22 our adventure vacation started on our new boat 23 -Yachtline-. We successfully passed a few short getaways with overnight stays, but still living 14 days on a boat for two is something completely different. We were stocked with long-lasting food and essentials and excited about the itinerary. At the marina in Biograd na Moru, we loaded our boat by crane, which was very easy. My husband had planned our tour but we had to change it a bit due to the weather, which is really the big difference between traveling on inland waterways and at sea: The weather plays the decisive role and you are at the mercy of these fundamental forces. 23 -Yachtline- lies really well on the waves thanks to her WIDE-BEAM hull,

Now our detailed route:
Biograd na Moru – Pakoštane – island Murter (Murter) – Vodice – Šibenik – Krka waterfalls – Konoba Vidrovača near Skradin – Primošten – Rogoznica – Drevenik Veli island (Blue Lagoon) – Trogir – Split – Primošten – Zirje island – Island Murter (Jezera) – Zadar – Biograd na Moru.

Growing together on board

We learned how to use the mourning lines and how to tie to the buoys. While tied to the buoys fore and aft, we spent a restless but safe night in a bay on the island of Zirje thanks to the Yugo storm. The next morning we decided to go to the mainland with the storm to the next marina. It was a really uncomfortable and choppy ride but our boat defied the waves!

Otherwise we stayed safely in the marinas and made use of the facilities of the sanitary building. In the evening we always went out to dinner and experienced Croatian villages, towns and tavernas. Thanks to Tripadvisor and the recommendations of Öchsner’s taverna guide, we found the best places with delicious food. Alternatively, we took care of ourselves on board, which worked flawlessly. We didn’t miss the fully automatic coffee machine. We learned to love the taste of filter coffee again. It tastes delicious on your own ship with a sea view. It was also positive that the crew (my wife and I) grew together. The scenery meandered into the distance and it is a pleasure to feel the sun on your skin, experience the waves and let the wind blow around your nose. A swimming break in a bay is almost always possible and on the small islands you can relax or anchor and have a cold beer. In the evening we looked forward to sightseeing and fresh sea specialties.

The 7.29 m long boat is absolutely suitable for cruising and a longer vacation on board. Thanks to the outdoor shower it is quite unnecessary to stay in the marina.

The vacation with our boat was great and we are already thinking about where to go next.

Main port

After taking delivery of 23 -Yachtline from Öchsner at the end of April, we were curious to see how our new boat would handle in the familiar waters. We towed our boat on a trailer near Germersheim and drove about 35 km to our boat club. I have to say that we couldn’t shake the shine. This was because, besides the truly incredible acceleration, the boat glided very fast and was uniquely smooth. The Rhine can be very restless and we were not spoiled at all. In short, it was a lot of fun for us and those traveling with us during the season.

In the past 2018 season we used our boat for many trips with friends and family, club trips and holiday trips to the Moselle and Croatia. We also enjoyed short trips to our home for just two to swim, relax and unwind in our beautiful old Rhineland.

Conclusion

In conclusion, we can say that we are very satisfied with our boat. It is very suitable for excursions, tours and longer vacations that we spend completely on board. We are proud that we managed everything so well.

We winterized our YACHTLINE at the Öchsner company. We had several questions and ideas at the meeting and they did everything necessary to answer them. This is certainly not an issue and deserves praise. We can recommend Öchsner without reservation and are already looking forward to the next season and the next overnight stay.

Best wishes and best wishes

Since we were still looking for a bigger boat that could be towed with a trailer, we came across the SR25 Yachtline from Öchsner at the BOOT trade fair in Düsseldorf.

After some discussion we decided to go to Kürnach to watch the boat in peace again. There was a well maintained 23 YACHTLINE on the site, our decision was made and it had to be her.

I can wholeheartedly recommend the driving characteristics of the WIDE-BEAM hulled boat.

With our old boat we could only do limited tours, with 23 YACHTLINE we can now do longer and longer tours.

Best wishes for the best

We picked up our boat in Kürnach near Würzburg. As we were complete novices and had never owned a boat before, this was a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Thanks to the thorough instruction of Florian Öchnser and Mr. Sven Küffner, nothing could go wrong.

So we start the journey home towards Switzerland.
(Incidentally, this is also the first time on the road with a trailer.)

Since the entry documents were processed by a transport company, entry into Switzerland was also no problem at customs. We had our eyes on the 23 -Yachtline- for several years. Especially the size was just right for us.
We decided to buy such a vessel because docks on our lakes are very rare, so we are independent and can enter any lake.

We found a very nice harbor on Lake Constance, where we could leave the car and motorhome for a few days. After a few times in and out, this has now become routine for us.

Our current cruising area is Lake Constance, we really love this lake and by no means have left it.

We enjoy every free minute on the lake. The calm and independence is priceless.

Best regards A. & B.

In March we bought our 23 YACHTLINE in Kurnach from Öchsner’s. We had seen the boat a year ago at the fair in Berlin. The support and advice of the booth attendant was also very effective, but we had already fallen in love with the 23 YACHTLINE as soon as we saw it.

After a test drive on the Main, we were able to convince ourselves of this wonderful boat in practice for the first time. The very good workmanship, the optimal floor plan and the on-board technology, which made it very easy for beginners like us, finally convinced us that we had bought the right boat. The briefing was very clear and friendly.

In the harbor, with the help of the esteemed boat owners, we had to quickly and easily slide our boat into the water for the first time. Only the first trip to the dock took a little longer before we were fully seated on the dock. But after a short practice and the correct use of the bow thruster, today it is no longer a problem.

Now our exploration of the Szczecin Lagoon can begin. It was a wonderful nature experience via Randow to Ückermünde and after the suspension bridge was opened in Ückermünde, the exploration of the Stettiner Haff with 23 Yachtline started. Wherever we docked or talked to our fellow boaters, we were often asked questions about our boat and given some excursions.

The shape and general appearance is really a “attention grabber”, but the equipment is also everything that is desired. Last year we had a lot of fun with our 23 YACHTLINE.

It is a great experience to drive and explore nature from the water. We are now looking forward to the coming season and after gaining experience with our boat, we now want to go on longer day trips. Even as beginners we were able to handle the boat very well in a very short time. It was an exciting experience how fast the boat with the WIDE-BEAM hull starts to glide and can extend the engine when the sea is smooth (70 km/h).

Congratulations to the Öchsner company, you have built a great boat!

Yours sincerely

On May 7th we took over our 23 YACHTLINE with WIDE-BEAM hull from Öchsner.
After a very comprehensive briefing by Mr. Florian Öchsner, we drove to Main. Back at the company building, we got our boat ready to sail together.

The same day we went to Attersee and the next day we named our boat “Puella”.

In June the time came and we went to Croatia, where our Puella passed the first practical test with flying colors. Our journey went from Bakar to Rab, Pag, Zadar, Vodice and Split, then from the Kornati islands to Losinj, Cres to the starting point.

Our wonderful boat 23 YACHTLINE gave us great pleasure.

Many thanks to the whole Öchsner team for giving us the opportunity to spend many beautiful hours with “Puella”.

From the U family.

We had planned a trip to the Rhine in August. Our two four-legged friends “Angel and Chester” couldn’t wait to bathe in one of the many clear floodplains on the Rhine and get back in the water. During a beautiful Sunday we had great views of the castles along the Rhine. It is really crazy to experience this view of Loreley and its surroundings from the water.

In St. Goar we anchored in this beautiful little harbor to treat ourselves to lunch. In the afternoon we sailed back to our home port in Wiesbaden-Schierstein, because we wanted to visit a wine festival with our friends on the bridge.

Our 23 YACHTLINE has never had a problem cutting its way between tankers, push convoys and cruise ships. The performance is unrivaled with the 200 HP engine with Duoprop drive and is really fun to drive.

Above all, I would like to say a few words about Florian and the whole Öchsner team. As beginners we cannot describe the friendliness, commitment and tenacity with which the whole team has been there for us with advice and action. Simply amazing!

I can add 5 stars absolute purchase recommendation for this wonderful boat.

Best regards

In mid-August we went to Lake Garda with our 23 YACHTLINE. It was our first time on a boat so we were quite excited.

After the first night, we were very excited about the vacancy on 23 YACHTLINE and after breakfast we set off for the lake. Simply put, the engine (Volvo Penta) is a rocket and very economical. After 14 days we came home happy and satisfied and we have certainly had some exciting days with 23 -Yachtline-.

We are already thinking about where we will go next year.

Our boat dream came true!

In February 2016 we were at the “Boot” in Düsseldorf for the first time. We were very enthusiastic and at the same time completely overwhelmed by the sheer number of boats. Since it would be our first boat we wanted to get EVERYTHING right and then we did a long search on the internet.

It had to be a cabin boat and so we came across the website of the company Öchsner.
After our first visit appointment in Kürnach, we immediately fell in love with the 23 YACHTLINE. This cabin boat has everything it should have.
In June 2016 the time had finally come. Our boat was delivered to us after a very detailed and professional briefing.

Thanks to Florian Öchsner, who encouraged us as a beginner to go to Croatia, we realized our absolute dream of a cruise in August/September.

We cannot say how incredibly beautiful and breathtaking this new experience was for us. We sailed to and anchored in beautiful bays, cruised around islands, lounged in beautiful towns and also stayed overnight on the boat.

An exciting adventure and we can hardly wait to return to the sea with our “sea addiction”.

Many thanks to the whole Öchsner team for the excellent advice and support.

On 6 May 16, 23 we picked up our Drago 23 from the Öchsner company. After administrative matters, Mr. Öchsner went on a briefing trip to Main. Mr. Öchsner gave us some important tips and advice. I immediately tested the boat myself. After the very informative trip on the Main, we went back to the company building where the boat was professionally tied up and ready for the trip. After a 4-hour trip we happily arrived at Hard on Lake Constance.

The next day we named our modern boat Zoe and friends and acquaintances were very enthusiastic about the boat. I would like to point out that our guests were “connoisseurs”. We especially liked the very well thought-out details of the boat and of course the attractive design.

Due to the weather and also due to time, the “Zoe” finally landed on the water on Saturday morning, May 21. The engine (Volvo-Penta) started immediately on the first try and we drove from the harbor area towards the lake (Lake Constance). Once again, the very smooth and quiet running of the Volvo Penta 4.2l, V6 engine was remarkable. After the warm-up phase, I boarded the boat without any problems. My daughter and I had big grins on our faces during the trip. The acceleration and running characteristics of the Drago 23 are simply amazing. We traveled from Hard to Höchst (Rhine delta) and from there to Lindau/Bregenz and back to Hard.

The hard water characteristics of the Drago 23 are also very good. The waves of about 0.5 m are hardly noticeable when gliding (40 km/h). Although I only used the boat for a short time, the mooring maneuvers in the harbor are absolutely smooth. The Drago 23 can be controlled very precisely.

Thanks again to the Öchsner team, we are having a lot of fun and joy with our Drago 23.
Greetings from Lake Constance!
