Adventure vacation

On 08/22 our adventure vacation started on our new boat 23 -Yachtline-. We successfully passed a few short getaways with overnight stays, but still living 14 days on a boat for two is something completely different. We were stocked with long-lasting food and essentials and excited about the itinerary. At the marina in Biograd na Moru, we loaded our boat by crane, which was very easy. My husband had planned our tour but we had to change it a bit due to the weather, which is really the big difference between traveling on inland waterways and at sea: The weather plays the decisive role and you are at the mercy of these fundamental forces. 23 -Yachtline- lies really well on the waves thanks to her WIDE-BEAM hull,

Now our detailed route:
Biograd na Moru – Pakoštane – island Murter (Murter) – Vodice – Šibenik – Krka waterfalls – Konoba Vidrovača near Skradin – Primošten – Rogoznica – Drevenik Veli island (Blue Lagoon) – Trogir – Split – Primošten – Zirje island – Island Murter (Jezera) – Zadar – Biograd na Moru.

Growing together on board

We learned how to use the mourning lines and how to tie to the buoys. While tied to the buoys fore and aft, we spent a restless but safe night in a bay on the island of Zirje thanks to the Yugo storm. The next morning we decided to go to the mainland with the storm to the next marina. It was a really uncomfortable and choppy ride but our boat defied the waves!

Otherwise we stayed safely in the marinas and made use of the facilities of the sanitary building. In the evening we always went out to dinner and experienced Croatian villages, towns and tavernas. Thanks to Tripadvisor and the recommendations of Öchsner’s taverna guide, we found the best places with delicious food. Alternatively, we took care of ourselves on board, which worked flawlessly. We didn’t miss the fully automatic coffee machine. We learned to love the taste of filter coffee again. It tastes delicious on your own ship with a sea view. It was also positive that the crew (my wife and I) grew together. The scenery meandered into the distance and it is a pleasure to feel the sun on your skin, experience the waves and let the wind blow around your nose. A swimming break in a bay is almost always possible and on the small islands you can relax or anchor and have a cold beer. In the evening we looked forward to sightseeing and fresh sea specialties.

The 7.29 m long boat is absolutely suitable for cruising and a longer vacation on board. Thanks to the outdoor shower it is quite unnecessary to stay in the marina.

The vacation with our boat was great and we are already thinking about where to go next.
