Interboot 2020 without Öchsner-Boote

Exactly one year ago the Interboot 2019 in Friedrichshafen was just around the corner. The exhibition boats were prepared for their big appearance, many small organizational matters had to be taken care of before the start of the trade fair and the joyful tension in the Öchsner team increased every day.
Today – a year later – it looks completely different.
What does corona mean for trade fairs?
The corona pandemic has fundamentally changed our daily lives and introduced new rules and regulations. Mandatory masks, distance rules and dispensaries with disinfectants on every corner – unthinkable a year ago.
There is still a long way to go to return to the previous normal situation. This is why those responsible for large events such as trade fairs have had to develop comprehensive hygiene concepts to protect visitors, exhibitors and staff from contact with the virus in the best possible way.
Ultimately, however, it is unclear whether these measures can actually be implemented. If, during a trade fair, the concept turns out to be inadequate contrary to expectations, or if there are problems in managing the flow of visitors, for example, the trade fair could be canceled in the worst case scenario.

Interboot without Öchsner-Boote
As the Interboot in Friedrichshafen was one of the first fairs after the closure, there is still a lack of experience as to whether and how a large fair can be implemented successfully and smoothly.
Therefore, we have decided not to participate in the Interboot in Friedrichshafen.
We regret that we missed the opportunity to see our customers, potential customers and business partners and to present our boats to a wide audience.
But we are also aware of our responsibility to protect the health of others and to provide visitors with enjoyable and successful days.
We will therefore wait and see if we can guarantee both at future shows.
